At Envisage Digital, we believe in giving back to the community. That’s why every member of our team gets one fully paid volunteer day a year to spend helping out a local cause close to their heart.
Recently, Account Manager Sarah and UX Designer Michael traded their keyboards for garden forks and headed over to Aldermoor Community Farm in Southampton for a day helping out in the sun.
Volunteer day on the farm
Aldermoor Community Farm is a working farm in Southampton; a bustling acre of land dedicated to sustainable farming and bringing people together.
Sarah and Michael didn't waste any time getting their hands dirty.
Their action-packed itinerary included:
- Chicken Duty: Feeding the resident hens
- The Great Weed War: Spending some quality time weeding the beds to give the upcoming crops room to breathe.
- Garlic Prep: Preparing harvested garlic for curing and storage
- Harvesting: Picking fresh salad leaves.
The team at Aldermoor even let Sarah and Michael take home a massive bag of the crisp, fresh salad they’d just harvested. Talk about farm-to-table!

Why Envisage Digtial Gives Back
Stepping away from the screens and connecting with nature is amazing for wellbeing, but more importantly, it allows us to support the incredible grassroots initiatives right on our doorstep.
Aldermoor relies heavily on volunteer power to keep its crops growing and its animals happy, and we are so proud of Sarah and Michael for lending a hand.
Previous volunteer days include supporting local charity Julia's House raise funds and awareness through the MSP Volleyball tournament on Bournemouth beach.
Our volunteer day initiative began in 2025 - and coincides with our commitment to staff and community wellbeing, alongside becoming a certified Living Wage Employer.
It's a great experience, amazing people and you really can feel yourself making a difference!!
