Offering a UK-wide delivery service, Flooring Hut is a leading flooring distributor highly regarded by customers with their offering of free samples, written quote service and price matching.

Looking to revamp the current Magento 2 website, and hearing lots about the Hyvä theme, the team at Flooring Hut were keen to work with a Magento partner that had lots of experience, and could complement the development skills within the internal Flooring Hut team.

Flooring Hut partnered with Envisage Digital to elevate its Magento 2 storefront with a faster, cleaner and more future-proof eCommerce experience. Our goal was to create a high-performing website that matched the quality of their products and made the buying journey smoother for every user.

Flooring Hut and Envisage met for a two day kick-off meeting in the Envisage office to start the process.

Flooring Hut’s existing Magento 2 website relied on the default Luma theme, which limited frontend performance, slowed development and restricted scalability.

Location pages were managed through a separate WordPress install, making content management fragmented and inefficient.

The client needed a faster, more user-friendly website with an optimised mobile experience and simplified development process.

With such a big site, the migration and redesign were no small feats!

We upgraded the Flooring Hut website by integrating the Hyvä theme on Magento 2. The developer team installed and configured the new theme, ensuring seamless integration with the custom ERP software that Flooring Hut personally developed to manage suppliers, products, pricing and stock.

Our SEO team ran audits on the old, staging and new sites to ensure site speed progression, health and monitor 404s. 

The user interface was optimised for intuitive navigation and accessibility. A fully responsive design was implemented across all devices, after extensive UX testing, where website users were recruited and recorded using the website to ascertain any pain points.

The project also included securely migrating all data, consolidating location pages from the WordPress site into a Magento store locator plugin, and optimising site performance to achieve faster load times and higher Google PageSpeed Insights scores.

Google Search Console shows a huge increase in Good URLs and decrease in average and poor URLs from GoLive date of December 10th.
