Project Overview
Vintage Tyres’ outdated Magento 1 store posed security, performance, and usability risks, with poor search limiting conversions. Envisage Digital migrated the site to Magento 2 and delivered a faster, more intuitive search experience to improve customer journeys and sales.
The Challenge
The original website’s biggest weakness was its search process. Customers could only search by entering their exact tyre or tube size, which created a barrier to browsing and purchasing. This clearly affected CRO as it often lead to abandoned searches, poor customer satisfaction and lost sales opportunities.
As well as the search issue, the site running on Magento 1 also meant it lacked to modern features, security patches and scalability options.
The Solution
Envisage Digital carried out a full migration to Magento 2, making sure the platform was secure, scalable and built for long-term growth.
Alongside the migration, the search functionality was completely reimagined. Customers can now start their journey by selecting a large category box (“Tyres” or “Tubes”) or simply by using the search bar.
Instead of requiring an exact size entry, users can browse broadly, then refine results as needed.
This new system supports both quick searches for confident buyers and exploratory browsing for those less certain of which product specifications are needed.
To streamline the checkout process, Envisage Digital integrated the site with UPS’s shipping module, allowing real-time shipping rates, label generation and tracking directly within Magento 2.
